While living in his hometown of Cincinnati, Patrick met and eventually wed Paula who had accepted a job 275 miles SW of her hometown of East Claridon, Ohio. During a visit to East Claridon, which is about 40 miles east of Cleveland, he, during a moment of insanity, fell in love with the massive amounts of snow NE Ohio is famous for. Patrick has worked in the Facilities Department for the Geauga County Public Library since the Spring of 1992, and also enjoys the life of a professional family entertainer, performing his music, magic and juggling shows for schools, private parties, churches and libraries throughout NE Ohio. He also serves as Children's Pastor and, with Paula, as Sunday School Superintendant of Christ Covenant Church in Middlefield, Ohio
